Notice of Election for Town of Greenwood
The Town of Greenwood will have an election on Monday, June 1, 2026. Polls will be open from 7:00am until 7:00pm at Greenwood Town Hall located at 4207 Bryan St, Greenwood, FL. The purpose of the election is to elect TWO town council members. Seats filled will serve four-year terms. Residents of the Town of Greenwood wishing to vote in this election must be registered to vote byFriday, May 1, 2026. BOOK CLOSING:Election law requires registration to close 29 days prior to any election. Voter registration applications are available at Greenwood Town Hall or at the Jackson County Supervisor of Elections office. Completed registrations must be returned to the Jackson County Elections office.
Candidate Qualifying Dates
Qualifying for the Greenwood Town Election will begin on Monday, April 20, 2026, at 12:00 noon and end on Friday, April 24, 2026, at 12:00 noon. Candidates must be a registered voter in Jackson County and a resident within the city limits of Greenwood for at least (1) year immediately preceding the election.
Those wishing to qualify must pay a qualifying fee equal to 1% of the annual salary of the respective office and must file the necessary qualifying paperwork with the town clerk at Greenwood Town Hall.
