Jackson County Affordable Housing Advisory Committee (AHAC)
Position: The Jackson County administrator of the State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) is seeking community volunteers to serve on the advisory committee involved in guiding the future of affordable housing throughout the County. Volunteers may live in any municipality or unincorporated area of Jackson County, Florida.

Committee Description
This committee shall serve in an advisory capacity to the Jackson County Board of County Commissioners and to the Jackson County Housing Division of Community Development on issues presented to the committee related to affordable housing and to perform functions as provided in Chapter 28 Jackson County Code of Ordinances and Chapter 420.9076, Florida Statutes. Appointments are made by the County Commission.

Engaged in workforce residential home building
Engaged in labor of workforce home building
Citizen who represents employers
Advocate for Low Income Persons
Citizen who represents Essential Services Personnel
Meeting Date: Monthly for up to 6 months, beginning June 2026.
