Friday: Counterculture: Noun. A way of life and set of attitudes opposed to or at variance with he prevailing social norm.

Saturday: Menagerie: Noun. Refers to a collection of animals kept especially to be shown to the public, as well as a place where such animals are kept. It can also refer figuratively to any varied mixture of things. The aviary featured a menagerie of exotic birds.

Sunday: Valediction: Noun. The action of saying farewell. A statement or address made at or as a farewell. The ceremony concluded with a quiet valediction and hymn.

Monday: Truculent: Adjective. A person who is easily annoyed and eager to argue or fight. The approach of multiple deadlines had put me in a truculent mood and I could tell my colleagues were avoiding me.

Tuesday: Jargoon: Noun. A translucent, colorless or smokey gem variety of zircon. I found the vintage jargoon brooch at my favorite antique store.

Wednesday: Gallivant: Verb. Travel from one place to another for pleasure. Carry on with members of the opposite sex. He was gallivanting all over town when he should have been honing his skills.

Thursday:  Dirigible: Adjective. Steerable. Capable of being controlled or directed. Shauna piloted the directable blimp away from the building’s spire, narrowly avoiding disaster.
