Two people injured in an accident on Interstate 10

Two people were badly injured in an accident on Interstate 10 Tuesday afternoon at 2:57 p.m.

A pickup truck driven by an 81-year-old Alford woman with a 75-year-old Grand Ridge woman as a passenger was traveling east on Interstate 10 when the truck left the roadway and struck a sign on the right of the road.

The truck then began to roll over and collided with a fence.

The truck traveled through the fence and came to rest on its roof in the woodline at mile marker 150, just west of Interstate 10 MM 151.

The Alford woman sustained critical injuries and the Grand Ridge woman had serious injuries.
