Chase ends in Jackson County

Jackson County, FL – A Tallahassee man was arrested following a pursuit that began in Holmes County and ended in Jackson County on August 30.

According to the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office, deputies attempted a traffic stop on Airport Highway for a vehicle driven by William Langston. Authorities say Langston refused to stop, leading to a chase that continued into Jackson County.

The pursuit ended after the vehicle stopped at a residence on Fowler Road. Deputies said Langston admitted he fled because he did not have a valid driver’s license and wanted to get the vehicle and a passenger home. Pulling over could have saved the suspect additional charges and safety of the others in the vehicle.

Langston was booked into the Jackson County Jail on charges of fleeing and attempting to elude and driving while license suspended.
