Chipola Regional Arts Association awards Teachers Mini Grants
The Chipola Regional Arts Association has some exciting news to share.
The group will be awarding 24 Mini-Grants to teachers in Calhoun, Liberty, Homes, Washington and Jackson Counties.
The grants will be presented to the 2025-2026 recipients at the groups monthly meetings over the next three months.
On Thursday, March 19, the CRAA Board will travel to Altha School to recognize five teachers. The board will hold its business meeting at 11:00AM, followed by a group luncheon at 11:30AM. The main event, bestowal of mini grants to Calhoun and Liberty County Teachers, will begin at noon. These funds, used for Improvement of Instruction in the Arts, have been awarded to the following educators: Clara Walters-Medina, Sarah Matthews, Gretchen Harr and Miranda Ellis.
All meetings of CRAA are open to the public so anyone interested in promoting the arts throughout Chipola College's five county district is welcome to attend.
If you did not attend for our February meeting, you missed a wonderful presentation from homegrown artist Lillie Mae Clark. She is a local favorite and entertained us thoroughly. In addition, on display, were examples of her stunning paintings.
The second round of mini grants will be presented on April 16, 2026, at Jim’s Buffet and Grill in Marianna, to teachers from Holmes and Washington Counties.
