Sneads volleyball season comes to an end

By: Shelia Mader

The Sneads volleyball team wrapped up their season as district runners-up, earning a spot in the regional quarterfinals. Unfortunately, their postseason run came to an end against a tough Blountstown Tigers squad.

The Pirates were no strangers to the Tigers, having faced them three times earlier in the season and coming up short each time. Saturday’s matchup followed a similar script in the win-loss column, but the Pirates’ effort was evident throughout. Sneads dropped the first set 25–19, battled to within two points in the second set 25–23, and fell 25–18 in the final set.

The Pirates close out the season as district runners-up with an even 12–12 record.

Looking ahead to the 2026–2027 season, Sneads will lose six seniors to graduation but will return seven players who gained valuable court experience this year. The returning group will open next season with new goals and renewed expectations.

The Times extends best wishes to the graduating seniors: Naryah Dudley, LaRay Gibbs, Shaleigh Harrell, Dalexis Lewis, Trisstin Paden, and Danika Rogers.
