Florida State Representative proposes bill which would ban smoking

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Another bill would make it illegal to smoke cigarettes or marijuana in most public places.

House Bill 389 would ban smoking on streets, sidewalks, beaches, and parks.

It also would make it illegal to smoke in common areas outside of apartments, office buildings, restaurants and hospitals.

The bill proposed by Representative Robert Andrade seeks to expand existing restrictions on cigarettes to include marijuana.
