The skies over Panama City Beach drew thousands this past weekend as the Gulf Coast Salute Air Show returned with a full lineup of high-energy performances and near-perfect weather.
Headlined by the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, the show delivered its signature mix of precision flying and crowd-thrilling speed. The team’s tight formations and high-speed passes over the Gulf once again proved to be the highlight, with spectators lining the shoreline and filling boats offshore for a clear view.
In addition to the Thunderbirds, the event featured a variety of military and civilian acts, including aerobatic pilots, vintage aircraft, and demonstrations that kept the crowd engaged throughout the weekend.
Festivities began Friday with a kickoff event at Aaron Bessant Park and continued through the weekend with vendors, exhibits, and family-friendly activities. By Saturday and Sunday, traffic and beach access points were packed as visitors from across the region turned out for the annual event.
Despite the large crowds, the show ran smoothly and provided a strong boost to local tourism during the spring season. For many, it was a chance to enjoy a mix of beach time and high-flying entertainment, a combination that has made the air show a staple along the Gulf Coast.
