Thursday: Concord: Noun. Agreement or harmony between people or groups; a chord that is pleasing or satisfactory in itself. The two sides of the case reached a concord in mediation.
Friday: Sitooterie: Noun. A small building or area where people can sit outside; a summer house, conservatory, or gazebo. They enjoyed being able to relax and read in the sitooterie for hours.
Saturday: Hyperlocal: Adjective. Relating to or focusing on matters concerning a small community or geographical area. I love reading the hyperlocal news on my neighborhood’s Facebook page.
Sunday: Candyfloss: Noun. A mass of pink or white fluffy spun sugar wrapped round a stick; something perceived as lacking in worth or substance. The kids at the fair were eating a cloud of candyfloss as big as their heads.
Monday: Darg: Noun. A day’s work; a defined quantity or amount of work or of the product of work done in a certain time or at a certain rate of payment. The teacher finished writing the darg of lesson plans by noon.
Tuesday: Hirrient: Adjective. Having a strongly trilled sound like that of a cat purring. All of their pets made distinct hirrient sounds.
Wednesday: Meed: Noun. A deserved share or reward. The plaque was a way to show Lauren her meed.
Thursday: Argot: Noun. The jargon or slang of a particular group or class. The detective didn’t understand the teenagers’ argot
