Main Street Marianna is Florida Main Street Program of the Month

Main Street Marianna has been designated as the Florida Main Street Program of the Month.
Secretary of State Cord Byrd made the announcement Tuesday.
According to a press release, this recognition reflects the dedication, passion, and hard work of our board members, volunteers, business owners, community partners, and supporters who believe in the future of Downtown Marianna.
The release said, “We are proud of the progress we’ve made and remain committed to creating a downtown that is vibrant, welcoming, and full of opportunity—a place where people want to live, work, and play.”
Main Street Marianna’s goals include improving and preserving the Historic Downtown District of Marianna through community events and promoting economic growth.
Since 1992, MSM has generated $59,120,622.95 in public and private investments.
Most recently, Marianna celebrated the opening of Regions Park on June 18.
Grant projects that are underway include St. Luke’s Baptist Church through the Florida Department of State; the Marianna Office Supply Building (Iralena Boutique Hotel) through Rebuild Florida Hometown Revitalization Program, Christo’s Corner and Market Street through Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery Grants, with numerous other projects totaling near $100 million in investments.
