Malone Softball Run-Ruled Jefferson County

Malone powered past Jefferson County 18-8 on Friday behind a balanced offensive attack and a strong outing in the circle from Arielle Dickens. Dickens earned the win after pitching five innings, allowing six hits and eight runs (three earned) while striking out nine and walking five. At the plate, Anoshua Wesley led the Tigers with two hits, including a double and triple, while scoring three runs and driving in two. Crishauna Perry also had a big night with two hits, two RBIs and three runs scored, while Dickens helped her own cause with two hits and three RBIs. Bryce Newton added a hit and RBI, Stephanie Thomas recorded a double and scored three runs, and Hailey Josey contributed a hit and crossed the plate three times. Malone also received RBIs from Tara Shelton, Ariah Dickens and Olivia Kadiba as the Tigers collected nine hits and capitalized on seven walks to secure the win.
