D’Angelo Vincent Manbeck, who brought light, laughter, and a bold spirit into the

lives of those who knew him, was born on November 30, 2000, in Buckhannon,

West Virginia, and passed away on August 11, 2026, in Tallahassee, Florida, at the

age of 25.

He was a son, brother, grandson, uncle, friend, and a genuinely unforgettable

presence. D’Angelo lived with a kind of energy that could fill a room before he

even said a word, and once he did speak, people usually had two choices. They

could laugh, or they could laugh harder. He had a way of making ordinary

moments feel like something worth remembering, and he carried himself with the

kind of confidence that made even a simple conversation feel like a headline event.

D’Angelo was the beloved son of Michelle Manbeck and Steven Manbeck, and he

was also cherished by his stepfather, Abdulla Atef, and his stepmother, Crystal

Manbeck. He was deeply loved by his siblings, Oceana Manbeck, Amere Atef,

Kambri Manbeck, Eden Manbeck, Haven Manbeck, and Ryett Manbeck, as well as

his step sisters Kayla, Madison, Haleigh, and Trista and his nephew Hudson Kent.

His family circle was further strengthened by the love of his grandmother Kathy

Wingfield, his grandparents Delmos and Christina Wingfield, his uncle’s Mark

Wingfield, Billy Kinard and Michael Kinard; his aunt Kimbri Gregory, and a wide

extended family throughout West Virginia who will always carry his memory with

them. He was preceded in life by a family network that gave him roots, and he

gave that same family plenty of stories to tell, most of which probably started with,

“You are not going to believe what D’Angelo said this time.”

He earned his high school diploma from Sneads High School, a milestone that

reflected his determination and his willingness to keep moving forward. After

school, he worked as a warehouse laborer, where he showed the same steady effort

and practical strength that he brought to other parts of his life. He understood the

value of hard work, even if he would have preferred a job that came with better

music, more jokes, and perhaps a little less lifting. Still, he showed up, did what

needed to be done, and handled life in his own style.

D’Angelo was high on life in the truest sense of the phrase. He loved music, and he

loved being around his friends, where his personality could shine without needing

an introduction. He enjoyed living fully, laughing often, and making memories that

had a habit of turning into legendary stories. He was adventurous, passionate, and

loving, and those words fit him well because he did not do anything halfway. If he

cared about you, you knew it. If he was excited about something, you knew that

too. If he had a joke ready, you definitely knew it.

Those who knew D’Angelo will remember his humor, his heart, and his fearless

way of moving through the world. He had the rare gift of making people feel

included, entertained, and seen. He could turn a regular day into a good one, and a

good one into one worth talking about later. He was the kind of person who left

behind not just memories, but moments, and those moments will continue to bring

comfort, smiles, and probably a few unexpected laughs to the people who loved

him.

Though his time here was far too short, D’Angelo Vincent Manbeck lived with a

spirit that was larger than life. He will be remembered for his love of music, his

loyalty to his friends, his devotion to family, and the unmistakable spark that made

him himself. His life was a reminder that joy can be powerful, laughter can be

healing, and a loving heart can leave an imprint that time cannot erase.

A gathering of family and friends for a time of sharing is planned for Sunday,

August 16, 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Central Time at McAlpin Funeral

Home in Sneads, Florida. A funeral service is planned for the next day, August 17,

2026 beginning at 10:00 AM Central Time in the chapel of McAlpin Funeral

Home. Burial will immediately follow in Cow Pen Pond Cemetery in Grand

Ridge, Florida.
