Friday: Cosmopolis: Noun. A city inhabited by people from many different countries. Thanks to its history as a thriving cosmopolis, my family felt comfortable moving to London.

Saturday: Woodshed: Verb. To practice a musical instrument. A musician who woodsheds several times a day will soon become a master of her instrument.

Sunday: Beldam: Noun. An old woman, a witch. The beldam down the street lives alone and independently despite her age.

Monday: Tetralogy: Noun. A series of four connected works (such as operas or novels). I binged the entire tetralogy of movies over winter break.

Tuesday: Preeminent: Adjective. A formal word used to describe someone or something more important, skillful, or successful than their counterparts or peers. She’s the preeminent chef in a city renowned for its cuisine.

Wednesday: Boscage: Noun. A growth of trees or shrubs, grove, thicket, underwood.I saw several deer slip through the boscage, barely disturbing the leaves.
