New Business Opens Their Door in Marianna

Maranda Still, Owner of Radiant Light Skin Spa

This week Radiant Light Skin Spa opened their doors at 2937B Jefferson Street. The business offers skin care that will leave you feeling confident and radiant. But behind the serene space and professional services is a story of long-held dreams, answered prayers, and the winding path that brought Maranda and her family to the Florida Panhandle.

Originally from Lakeland, Maranda and her husband, Dustin, moved to Cedar Bluff, Alabama to be near her grandparents. While working as a physical education teacher at a Christian school, she felt content—until her grandfather passed away. That loss stirred a desire to gather her family on a piece of land where their children could grow up together.

In May 2022, the Stills found what they were searching for in a large parcel in Altha, perfectly situated for Dustin’s work as a Florida Forest Service firefighter. Maranda began homeschooling their daughters, Raegann (now 17) and Trinity (now 14), with the family building the kind of life they had prayed for.

Yet another lifelong dream remained unresolved.

Maranda still remembers the moment her passion was born in the 7th grade, watching a woman get ready for a wedding. “I knew right then,” she said, “that I wanted to help women feel that special.”

Years passed, and the dream dimmed—until she enrolled at Art of Skin in Panama City. There, she rediscovered her purpose: understanding the science of skin, learning how chemicals affect it, and discovering the confidence-building power of skilled touch.

Even naming the business became a spiritual journey.

Years ago, when she was working as a 911 dispatcher, her coworkers called her “the light” and “sunshine.” Her middle name, Lanae, means “light,” “shining,” or “graceful.” While praying for clarity, she opened her devotional to find “rise and shine your radiant light.” Later that same day, she heard a song with the lyrics, “shine your radiant light.”

“So many confirmations,” she said, smiling. “My heart felt like a bloom planted here.”

Thus, Radiant Light Skin Spa was born—its logo featuring three crosses, one shining brighter than the others.

“It’s not just a business,” she added. “It’s a ministry.”

Radiant Light is intentionally designed as a private, one-client-at-a-time experience. The business is lobby free—a choice Maranda made to respect comfort, confidentiality, and solitude.

She builds time between clients for disinfecting and privacy. Maranda sees her space as a peaceful refuge for all of her clients.

“I want people to feel safe, cared for, and seen. Everyone’s skin is unique, and everyone’s story is unique,” she said.

As a trained aesthetician, Maranda provides a range of services, including: customized facials for removing dead skin, evening tone, and addressing hyperpigmentation; chemical peels; HydraFacial treatments, a sonic version of microdermabrasion; Nanoneedling – a painless technique that boosts collagen and elastin, improves fine lines, and promotes skin turnover; Sonic Dermaplaning, removing peach fuzz and dull surface skin; facial and underarm waxing; and product ordering delivered directly to clients’ homes

Her work focuses not only on beauty but on the health and renewal of the skin—reducing buildup, plumping texture, and softening lines created by age and expression.

“I want women to feel radiant,” she said. “And to feel confident in the skin they’re in.”

Maranda hopes to grow her business in ways that continue her calling to bless others. Her future goals include: forming a traveling bridal team to assist brides, mothers of the bride, and wedding parties; offering special-event makeup services; expanding into lash lifts and tints; and building a community-oriented practice that “gives back in every season”

She describes herself as having “a servant’s heart,” which is apparent as she lights up whenever she meets new people or sees a client admire their glowing skin.

Maranda believes Radiant Light Skin Spa came together through God’s direction—from the location beside Flourish Salon to the timing, the people, and the purpose.

“After so many years of praying, everything just aligned,” she said. “I feel loved and supported here. This is exactly where I’m meant to be.”

And for those who walk through her door, Maranda hopes they leave feeling what she strives to offer in every service: radiance, renewal, and the gentle light of being cared for.
