RFQ to be Issued for Advertising 2025 Tax Rolls

The Jackson County Commission confirmed that advertising for the 2025 tax certificates will be put out for bid through a Request for Qualifications.

This follows the decision made last year and is required under Chapter 50 for legal publications. The timing is important since tax certificate advertisements must run for three weeks in May, ahead of the June 1 sale, and tax certificates become delinquent April 1.

The RFQ will be limited to newspapers of general circulation within Jackson County, as required by statute.

The goal is to ensure local visibility while also addressing recent increases in advertising costs.The Board voted unanimously, 5–0, to proceed.
