Two Injured in I-10 Wreck Saturday.

The Jackson County Times received the following press release from the Florida Highway Patrol.

Two severely injured in a single vehicle accident at 8:15 a.m. on Saturday, January 17, on Interstate 10 at the 141 mile marker.

A sports utility vehicle driven by a 78-year-old Jacksonville, Florida man that was carrying a 74-year-old Jacksonville, Florida woman as a passenger was westbound on I-10 when it ran off the roadway and went into the center grass median.

The front of SUV collided with the guardrail in the median that is there to prevent vehicles from traveling down an embankment and entering the creek.

The SUV went through the guardrail and down the embankment before overturning. It came to rest facing a north easterly direction.
Both of the vehicle’s occupant were seriously injured.
