Friday: Speculate: Verb. To form ideas or theories about something usually when there are may things not known about it. Scientists speculate that the newly discovered  exoplanet could host liquid water.

Saturday: Recondite: Adjective. Little known, abstruse. It shouldn’t take someone with recondite knowledge to fix this.

Sunday: Fossorial: Adjective. Burrowing, specifically related to animals. There’s a fossorial animal digging up holes in my backyard that I suspect is an armadillo.

Monday: Swash: Verb. Of water or an object in water – move with a splashing sound. 2. Of a person- Flamboyantly swagger about or wield a sworn. Break out the kiddie pool and let the little ones play and swash in the water.

Tuesday: Festoon: Verb. To decorate, embellish, or ornament. To hang a decorative strip between two fixed points. College students love to festoon their dorm rooms with all kinds of trinkets.

Wednesday: Harlequin: Adjective. In varied colors, variegated. The leaves on the plant were a harlequin patchwork of dark greens and pale yellows.

Thursday: Argillaceous: Adjective. (Of rocks or sediment)Consisting of or containing clay.  Our backyard was almost impossible to plant a vegetable garden in because of the argillaccous soil.
