Chipola Indians Win 83-63 in Opener at Home

The Chipola Indians opened their season at home last week against Southwest Mississippi Community College. They took control in the first half with a 47-23 lead and coasted to an 83-63 victory in the second half.

Chipola had three players in double digits starting with Peyton Wiggins with 15 points, four rebounds and two assists. Demarco Middleton and Lyrique Sartin were on board with 10 points each, with Middleton adding four rebounds, five assists, and one steal, while Sartin had two rebounds, assists, and steals.

The Indians will be on the road for their next game on Friday, November 10 when they travel to Tavares, Florida. They will take on Richard Bland College with tipoff scheduled for 4:40 p.m.
