District 2 FFA Members Gather for Christmas Meeting in Marianna
By: Madelin Garcia
District 2 FFA members gathered for a festive Christmas meeting filled with fellowship, service, and holiday cheer at Beef O’Brady’s in Marianna. Students from Marianna High School, Marianna Middle School, Altha Middle School, Cottondale Middle School, and Cottondale High School came together to celebrate the season and strengthen connections between chapters.
During the meeting, subdistrict officers were announced. For Subdistrict One, Kelly Thomas was named chair and Sam Bryan was named co-chair, both representing the Marianna FFA chapter. For Subdistrict Two, Dixie Land from the Dean Bozeman FFA chapter was announced as chair.
District 2 officers Madelin and London also addressed members, unveiling the theme for the upcoming District 2 Annual Workshop. This year’s theme will be “Dancing With the Stars,” promising an exciting and energetic event for FFA members across the district.
Members also participated in a community service project by bringing in donated items for Partners for Pets. These items will be delivered within the next two weeks, helping support local animals in need during the holiday season.
In addition, members took part in a goal-setting activity by creating vision boards for their chapters. Each chapter identified two short-term goals and one long-term goal, encouraging students to think intentionally about leadership, growth, and future success within their programs.
Our District Officers hope the Christmas meeting allowed for meaningful fellowship between chapters while promoting growth, leadership, and service across District 2.
