Bulldogs open soccer season with a shutout win

By: Shelia Mader

The Marianna High Bulldogs boys’ soccer team kicked off their 2025–26 season in strong fashion, earning a 2–0 shutout victory on the road against the Port St. Joe Sharks.

Goalkeeper Tyler White anchored the defense with six saves on the night, including a key penalty kick stop to secure his first shutout of the season.

Offensively, freshman Brayden Mason made an immediate impact, scoring both goals for the Bulldogs to lead them to the win.

Marianna was set to return home Monday before heading back to Port St. Joe on Tuesday. They’ll be on the road again today (Thursday) to face Franklin County.

Congratulations to the Bulldogs on their opening victory from the publisher and staff of the Jackson County Times!
