Sandra Ruth Harris

Sandra Ruth Harris, 79, of Bonifay, Florida, passed away on September 2, 2025. She was born to Luther Otho Cagle and Margie Opal Allen on February 26, 1946, in Modesto, California. In April 1966, she met the love of her life, Joe, in Plymouth, California, and the two were married on September 24th that same year. In 1985, with a young family, they moved to Bonifay, Florida, where she spent the remainder of her life. Along with raising a beautiful family, Sandy fulfilled her lifelong goal of becoming a nurse and worked at Graceville and Chipley hospitals for many years until her retirement in 2011.

Her faith in Jesus was the foundation of her life and her source of unwavering hope, perseverance, and guidance. She attended Carmel Assembly of God for 35 years and could be found there most Sundays and Wednesdays, fellowshipping with her brothers and sisters in Christ.

Her family was her greatest joy, and she devoted herself to being present for their events and milestones. She was always so eager to hear the latest updates, see the newest pictures of all her babies, and would proudly share it with anyone she spoke with. She found happiness in encouraging, celebrating, and supporting them all through their endeavors.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Mary Hamilton and Wanda Carter; and two brothers, Winston Dale Cagle and an infant brother.

She is survived by her husband, Joe; three children, Jason Harris and wife, Linette, Micah Harris and wife, Kelly, and Lorna Anderson and husband, Todd; ten grandchildren, Nick (Lauren), Grant (Lexi), Brock (Bailey), Kaytlin (Lance), Emily, Abigail, Eliannah, Ava, Asa, and Maxx; eight great-grandchildren, Andrew, Jude, Archer, Eden, Baylor, Margot, Noah, and Lane; one sister, Pat Kleint, and numerous loving friends and family members.

A service will be at 2:00 on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Carmel Assembly of God with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. Family will receive friends at 1:00. All who knew and loved Sandy are welcome to attend.
