Wallace “Bookie” Wilbon age 54 of Panama City, FL passed away on December 4, 2025, peacefully surrounded by the love of family and the laughter he brought to the world. He lived a life full of wit, warmth, and an unwavering devotion to the people he cherished most.

Graveside funeral services were held 12 Noon Saturday December 13, 2025 at Redwood Cemetery located 717 Redwood Avenue Panama City, FL with Mckinnie Funeral Home of Campbellton, FL directing.

Wallace “Bookie” Wilbon passed away on December 4, 2025, peacefully surrounded by the love of family and the laughter he brought to the world. He lived a life full of wit, warmth, and an unwavering devotion to the people he cherished most.

On July 17, 1971, Wallace was born in Panama City, Florida to the late Wallace Wilbon Sr. and late Beatrice Moultry. Known for his quick humor, unforgettable one-liners, and ability to make even an ordinary day feel like an adventure, Wallace had a gift for bringing smiles wherever he went. Whether he was telling stories around the kitchen table, cheering on loved ones at family events, or finding the funny side of life’s challenges, he reminded everyone that joy is worth sharing.

Above all, Wallace was deeply family-oriented. Becoming a father while married to his then wife, Carla Venible, his children were always the heart of his world. Wallace adored family gatherings because he was always the life of any party. He never missed a chance to show up, lend a hand, or ease a heavy moment with a well-timed joke. His love was steady and his humor was contagious. His smile and his presence will forever remain unforgettable.

Wallace’s legacy includes his children: Taddren W. Wilbon of Panama City, Fl; Trinnea C. Venible Crenshaw of Panama City, FL.

Wallace’s surviving siblings are: Robert and Gloria Humphrey of Dothan, AL; Kenneth and Anita Humphrey of Smiths Station, AL; Willie Jones of West Palm Beach, FL; Peggy and Herman Coughley of Columbus, Ga; Sandra D. Allen of Panama City, FL; Lisa A. Allen of Fort Lauderdale, FL; Meatrice Y. Parker of Cleveland, OH; Priscilla C. Parker of Tampa, FL; Detris M. Allen of Miami, FL; and Benita A. Allen of Cleveland, OH.; Wallace’s surviving aunt is Jeanette Roswell of Huntsville, Alabama.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Ocie B. Allen, and brothers Victor C. Allen, Michael Allen and Rodney Humphrey. Wallace will be cherished by a host of nieces, nephews, as well as great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

His legacy lives on in the stories told, the laughs shared, and the countless moments of love he created. Though he will be deeply missed, the warmth he brought to this world will continue to light the hearts of all who knew him.
