Sheila Wester Thompson

Sheila's early years were spent in the nurturing care of her loving parents, Judy D. Wester and the late Robert Glen "Bob" Wester, Sr. She shared memorable moments with her brothers, Robbie (and wife Debbie) and Marty Darren Wester (and wife Gala), moments that forged lifelong bonds. Sheila's family grew to include her cherished daughter, Adrienne Thompson, a niece, Jayde Wester, and two nephews, Steven Caz Wester and Zachary Tyler Wester, along with a host of extended family members and friends who became an integral part of her life.

A proud graduate of Sneads High School, class of 1978, Sheila demonstrated a strong work ethic and dedication early in her career. She spent several enriching years as a secretary at Florida State Hospital, before advancing to the Department of Insurance in Tallahassee as an Administrative Secretary. Eventually, Sheila made the heartfelt decision to dedicate her time as a stay-at-home mother, providing her daughter Adrienne with love, support, and guidance—treasures that shaped Adrienne's life indelibly.

Sheila's interests mirrored the depth of her character—she was an avid reader with a particular passion for history and politics. Engaging in spirited discussions and staying abreast of current events were among her favorite pastimes. Additionally, Sheila found solace in the tranquility of nurturing her house plants, creating an oasis of greenery within her cherished home.

Though Sheila's passing leaves a void in the lives of those who knew her, her influence endures. Her conversations, brimming with insight and her laughter, a source of constant joy, will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.
