John Edward Lyford (Digger)

John Edward Lyford (Digger) age 77, died April 25, 2025, in Marietta, GA.  John was preceded in death by his parents Bill and Evelyn, and is survived by Billy (Claire) and Mary Gilbraith. John grew up in Marianna, FL. He graduated from Marianna High School and furthered his education with a bachelor’s degree from Southern Tech in Marietta, GA. Upon graduation he was employed by Georgia Power Company for almost 40 years. After retirement he became the Clock Man known well for buying, selling and repairing clocks. John’s ashes will be placed in the Lyford Family Plot at the Riverside Cemetery in Marianna, FL.
