Marilyn Gail "Mama Gail" Jones 71, passed from this life on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at Southeast Health Hospital in Dothan, Alabama. Marilyn was born on November 17, 1954 in Chipley, Florida to Coy Birge and Edna Birge. She loved to watch television, especially "Gunsmoke" and wrestling. She loved to sing and play the piano as well as listen to gospel music. One of her favorite gospel songs was "The Lighthouse". Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents, as well as sisters, Betty Rustin of Chipley, Florida, Martha Moody, of Graceville, Florida and brother, Sonny Birge, of Chipley, Florida. Marilyn is survived by her loving family, her husband, Billy Jones of Graceville, Florida; son, Glenn Jones of Graceville, Florida; Brother Larry Birge, her sisters-in-law, Patsy Anderson of Dothan, Alabama, Lisa Barnes of Graceville, Florida and Vickie Stephens of Slocomb, Alabama; a host of nieces, nephews, adopted children, and loved ones. Marilyn also leaves behind her beloved pet "Harley". Funeral services will be Wednesday July 15, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at James & Lipford Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Sanders officiating. Burial will follow at Antioch Church Cemetery with James & Lipford directing. The family will receive friends at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday July 15, 2026 at James & Lipford Funeral Home Chapel.
