Anita Louise Foran, passed away at the age of 84 on February 8, 2026, in Tallahassee, FL. Born on October 24, 1941, in Malone, FL, Anita was a beacon of light to all who knew her, treasuring the simple joys in life and exemplifying a steadfast Christian faith.
Anita's early years were spent in the town of Malone until moving to Marianna at the age of 10. She was a proud graduate of Cottondale High School. The world of construction was graced by Anita's skill and commitment, as she served many years as an office manager for Centurion Construction before culminating her career at Lynn Munion Construction.
A devout Christian, Anita's life was a reflection of her beliefs. Her longstanding membership and secretarial duties at Branningville Baptist Church in Panama City were dear to her heart. Anita's creative talents shone through her love for baking and sewing, passions she often shared with her beloved family. Her family gatherings during the holidays were covered with love, laughter, and the irresistible aroma of her homemade treats.
Anita was preceded in death by her dear parents, Chester and Ruby Waller Baxter; her loving husband, Lonnie Foran; her son, Stanley Foran; and siblings Billy Baxter, Jimmy Baxter, and Brenda McDowell.
Anita's legacy continues through her sons, Marvin Foran and his wife, Lori, and Roger Foran and his wife, Janice. She will be fondly remembered by her sisters, JoAnn Thompson and Debbie Paramore; her grandchildren, Bradley (Cassie), Nicholas, Holley, and Cori; and her great-grandchildren, Lonnie and Emma. A host of nieces and nephews, whose lives she touched in infinite ways, will also hold her memory dear.
A memorial service will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday February 14, 2026 at New Salem Baptist Church with Pastor Joey Woodruff and Marvin Foran officiating.
The family will receive friends for a time of visitation one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Big Bend Hospice Foundation (1723 Mahan Center Blvd. Tallahassee, FL 32308).
Services are entrusted to the Lambe Family at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.
