Annie Sue Dilmore

Annie Sue Dilmore of Alford, FL, passed away at her home on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at the age of 85.

Born in the warmth of Jackson County, FL, on September 7, 1939. Sue was the daughter of the late, John Francis "Jack" and MeOmey "Duck" Sexton.  Sue's soul was deeply intertwined with that of her late husband, John Wesley "J.W." Dilmore, with whom she shared a wealth of loving memories. Their union was a testament to enduring love and provided a strong foundation for their family. Sue's legacy is carried forward through her son, Emory "Jay" Dilmore and wife, Debbie of Tallahassee; her devoted daughter, Zanda Sue Warren and her husband, Jim of Alford.

Sue was a proud grandmother to Zoee Spencer (Nathan), Audrey Dilmore, Brad Skene, Nick Warren (Logan), and Amanda Rabon (Devon); and her great-grandchildren, Makenzie Herzing, Brayden Herzing, Brooklyn Warren, Bailey Warren and Lane Rabon; as well as her special cousin, Dwayne Bell, whom she considered as another son.

Sue's professional life was marked by a notable 20-year tenure with American General and Independent Life, serving as the office manager. She also worked many years at Hand Furniture and Associate's Finance. Sue was an active member of the Cypress Creek Community Church and the Alford Community Organization, who care for the well-being of her beloved community.

The family will receive friends for visitation at Cypress Creek Community Church on Sunday, July 27, 2025 from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M with a graveside service to follow in the church cemetery. Pastor Charles Jackson will be officiating and Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing. 

Those serving as pallbearers will be Nathan Spencer, Brad Skene, Devon Rabon, Nick Warren, Dwayne Bell and Anthony Posada. 

Flowers will be omitted. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cypress Creek Community Church Building Fund (1772 Macedonia Rd. Cottondale, FL 32431).

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Lambe Family at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.
