Cecilia “Pat” Rabon
Cecilia “Pat” Rabon age 87 of Sneads, FL passed away Monday morning, August 17, 2026, at The Courtyard Nursing Home in Marianna, FL.
Born on March 26, 1939, in Fountian, FL, Pat spent most of her life in Jackson County as a housewife. She was known for her kind, compassionate and loving ways, and BOY she sure knew how to cook. She enjoyed making arts and crafts in her spare time and she loved decorating for holidays. She always had a way of making us feel important, comfortable, and secure. She made sure we knew we were loved. She took care of her family and sincerely cherished her long-time friendship with Patti Hester. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Claude Sowell and Coriene (Hariss) Land. Her husband J.W. Rabon; two sons Jason Rabon and Norman Rabon; one sister Mary Ellen Land and two brothers Doyle Land and Gerold Sowell.
Survivors include her daughter Sheila (Rabon) Ranew and husband Ron Ranew of Cypress; one Daughter-in-law Lisa Rabon of Sneads; one brother Clyde Land and wife Carolyn; two sisters Judy Wilson and husband Ken; Tina Tereschek and husband Nick; four grand children Shelbie, Madison and Mikayla Rabon and Westley Dowling of Sneads and three great grandchildren, Waylon and Estella Gilbert and Maelyn Kenner along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. CST on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at McAlpin Funeral Home, 8261 Highway 90 East, Sneads, FL with Pastor Juno Douglas officiating.
Interment will follow in New Salem Cemetery, 3478 Kynesville Rd., Marianna, FL with McAlpin Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. CST on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at McAlpin Funeral Home.
