Charlsie V. McDonald, age 81, of Marianna, FL passed away on Monday, March 23, 2026 at the Partin Place in Niceville, FL.

Born in Ashford, Alabama to the late Willie Green and Charlie Kermit Smith, Charlsie lived a life marked by faith, dedication, and adventure. Charlsie was a devoted servent of God and a cherished member of Circle Hill Baptist Church for many years. She applied her generous spirit in service to the church community, ensuring the production of weekly programs and offering rides to fellow congregants unable to travel to Sunday services on their own. Her actions were a testament to her unyielding faith and caring nature, always going above and beyond to support and uplift those around her. A spirited traveler, Charlsie's insatiable curiosity and love for life led her to explore the far corners of the globe including China, New Zealand, and Australia, her love for traveling was evident. Charlsie's professional life was marked by her 33 years of committed service with ACI. Charlsie was one of the first females to climb the ranks and receive a well-deserved promotion, paving the way for others to follow.

Charlsie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 29 years, Jack McDonald; parents, Willie Green and Charlie Kermit Smith; sisters, Eula Bell Monday, Pearl Shiver, and Rebekah Reeves.

She is survived by her son, Tommy McDonald and wife, Janet of Marianna, FL; brother, Kermit Stancel Smith and wife, Florie of Grand Ridge, FL; sisters, Dora Crody of Ashford, AL, Ellen Mugler of Ashford, AL, Sherry Cofer and husband, Jim of Smithfield, VA as well as one granddaughter, Macie Sloan Jones and husband, Zack of Mobile, AL.

Funeral services will be 11 A.M., Thursday, March 26, 2026 at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home with Pastor John Holley officiating. Interment will take place at Circle Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. Thursday, March 26, 2026 at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.

Services are entrusted to the Lambe family at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.
