Jean T. Nelson, 72 of Graceville, Florida passed away, Wednesday, February 11, 2026.

Jean was born in Chipley, Florida on October 24, 1953, to the late Oscar and Thelma Taylor. A graduate of Chipley High School, Jean married the love her life, “Lattie”, working side by side for many years in different custodial positions in and around Graceville. Together they enjoyed gardening and growing the most beautiful lilies.

Preceded in death by her parents, and her husband of 43 years Carter “Lattie” Nelson.

She is survived by their children Noah Nelson (Candi), Sadie Nelson, Leah Nelson, Mark Nelson, grandchildren Brad, Bayley, Hayden, Nelson, Raeleigh, Lilli, Ileya, Dagen, three sisters Jean Whitehurst, Linda Gardner, Sue Frazier (Bill), a host of nieces and nephews.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
