Douglas Glass, 48 of Cottondale, Florida went home to be with the Lord on May 4, 2025.

Douglas was born on September 19, 1976 in Marianna, Florida to Howard and Sharon Denise Glass. Douglas was a lifelong resident of Jackson County. He worked for the city of Marianna. Douglas loved his family more than anything in the world. Whether it was a backyard barbecue, a Sunday hangout, or just a quick phone call, he always made time for the people he cared about. And if there was a game of cornhole going on, you could bet he’d be right in the middle of it—grinning, talking smack, and making everyone laugh. Douglas loved being on his motorcycle. The open road was his happy place. He had a big heart, a great sense of humor, and a way of making everyone feel welcome. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Howard and Sharon Denise Glass.

He is survived by his son: Joshua Glass (fiancé Madison) of Cottondale, Florida; significant other: Brooke Glass of Cottondale, Florida; brother: Ashley Glass of Alford,Florida; niece: Memorie Smith (Earl) of Cottondale, Florida; Papa Doug's boys: Axel and Noah, Liam, Quinn; Papa Doug's Girls: Amelia, Amani

Service will be held 11 AM Thursday, May 8,2025 at Obert Funeral Home Chapel (731 Kirkland Road) in Chipley, Florida. Internment will follow in Salem Freewill Baptist Church cemetery. Obert Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida directing.

The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service at Obert Funeral Home Chapel.
