Emma Daniels age 91 of Madrid, AL passed away Thursday April 16th 2026 at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, AL surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday April 25th at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church located 2325 Singletary Road Slocomb, AL with Reverend Danny Coachman officiating.  Interment will follow in St. Phillip Cemetery located 1112 Singletary Road 36375.

A public viewing will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday April 24th at McKinnie Funeral Home.

Ms. Emma Lee Daniels was born August 29, 1934 in Madrid, Alabama to the late Deacon Archie Daniels, Sr. and Dora Dean Daniels. She was a long-time resident of Madrid, Alabama. Emma was driving by a passion to help others especially her family and community. She was a long-standing member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her daughter: Loretha Madison and seven siblings: Eunice McClendon, Retha Hartfield, Mable Mack, Florence Kirkland, Nelson Daniels, Sr., LT Daniels, Archie Daniels, Jr., and Willie Edward.

Emma Lee lives on in the hearts of her children: Larry Madison of Ozark, AL, Darryl Madison, Sr. (Ethel) of Slocomb, AL, Charles Madison (Minnie) of Mobile, AL, and Sheila West of Rehobeth, AL; son in love: James M. West of Dothan, AL. brother: Raymond Daniels (Warnetta) of Madrid, AL; sisters: Willie Carswell of Madrid, AL and Johnnie Bell Washington of Arcadia, FL; grandchildren: Shelonda, Amanda, Colston, Tywaina, Charity, Darryl, Jr., Ja’Kera, Nicholas, Vanessa, Jori, LJ, Michaela, Alison, and Mikkilayla; sixteen great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; to very special friends and caregivers-Rhonda Register and Tisha McSwain and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
