Everett Comley Henrickson
Everett Comley Henrickson
Everett Comley Henrickson, beloved husband and father, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 30, 2026, at the age of 93. Everett was a loving husband, devoted father, and proud grandfather, and true friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He was a resolute member of his community and a pillar of strength for his family. His memory will be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Everett Henrickson was born on June 3, 1932, in Crosby, Minnesota to Eiler Clarence Henrickson and Mabel Maria Bakken Henrickson Clifford. He was the seventh child and the third son of nine children. Everett was just eleven years old when his father passed away leaving a wife and five children still living at home, so he learned to become very responsible at an early age. He picked up odd jobs to help his mother and even joined the National Guard at 14 to provide extra income. He was proud that his mother was able to secure her first job outside the home at the airplane factory with his help.
Everett was a member of Graceville First United Methodist Church in Graceville, Florida, where he was the oldest member of the church. He loved to serve. In fact, he participated in seventeen mission trips around the world including to places in Central America, South America, and Russia. He also served in his local church on various leadership committees. Something that people may not be aware of about Everett, is that his first passion was to become a pastor. But it was not meant to be, perhaps because the Lord had other work for him.
Everett's sense of serving did not stop with service to the church. As previously mentioned, he served four years in the National Guard prior to joining the Air Force on July 26, 1950. He later served an additional ten years in the Air Force Reserve. Other areas of service included President of the Rotary Club, President of the Kiwanis Club, Lions Club, American Red Cross, United Way, Boy Scouts of America, Cub Scouts, Fire Department, Member of the School Board, Sons of the American Legion, Municipal Judge and his proudest involvement – the American Legion for sixty-six years.
Everett loved mountain climbing, fishing, golfing, and hunting geese and pheasants with friends. He had an abundance of wonderful stories that would have you rolling on the floor with laughter. He had a wealth of accomplishments that would fill a book in order to list them all. When asked what was one of his biggest successes, he would say it was as coowner of the Farmers Bank of Malone with his brother for 7 years, until his retirement in 1997. He was immensely proud to be able to help those that other banks were unable to help.
He was truly a man of service and now he will be in service to our Lord and Savior for all of eternity.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Nancy Ann Peterson Henrickson (43 years); son Eric Carter Henrickson; granddaughter Jessika Len? Henrickson; eight siblings and other beloved family members.
Everett is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Lina Miller Henrickson; children Rosemary Wainman (Perry); Cynthia Ann Seletos (James); Laurinda Silvernail (Brooke deceased); James Henrickson (like a son); thirty-one grandchildren; twenty-nine great grandchildren; two great, great grandchildren and forty-five nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of His Life will be held on Friday, February 6th at 11:00 AM (CST), at Graceville First United Methodist Church. A time of visitation for friends and family will be 10:00 AM until time of the service.
