Kenneth Gene Fettinger

Kenneth Gene Fettinger, age 84, passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at his residence surrounded by his children.

Kenny was born on May 24, 1941 in Winslow, Indiana to the late Louise and Kenneth Gerald Fettinger. The family moved to Fountain, FL in 1952 where Kenny attended Bay High School. In 1964, Kenneth joined Carpenter Union 1281 and learned many lifelong skills that he passed on for generations to come. In 1986, Kenny planted his roots in Round Lake, FL.  In his free time, Kenny enjoyed traveling the country and visiting casinos throughout. He also took great pride in his lawn. Kenny was a pillar in his community that many people relied on for anything from a simple task, to lifelong advice that will live on through his children and grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Janet Fettinger; son in-law, Chris Ammons as well as one brother, Jerry Fettinger. 

Kenny is survived by his sons, Vincent Fettinger and wife, Dana of Roswell, GA, Rodney Fettinger of Pensacola, FL; daughter, Stella Cass and husband, Brian and Santana Ammons all of Alford, FL; brother, Jim Fettinger and wife, Donna of Mexico Beach, FL; sisters, Mary Lou Hess of Bayou George, FL and Jo-Ann Everett of Vero Beach, FL; sister in-law, Barbara Fettinger. Survivors also includes his cherished grandchildren, David Mayo (Noelle), Grace Fettinger, Garrett Fettinger, Kenlee Ammons, Caden Ammons and Kash Ammons as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be 11 A.M., Saturday, August 30, 2025 at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home with Reverend James Barwick officiating. Interment will follow in the Williams Family Cemetery, Alford, FL.

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 10 A.M., until the time of service, at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.

Those serving as pallbearers include: Caden Ammons, David Mayo, Pete Folsom, Jasper Gurganus, Joe Morris, Greg Morris and Evan Fettinger. 

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Lambe Family at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.
