Pat Jackson King

Pat was the beloved wife of the late Marion W. "MW" King. They formed their blended family on May 28, 1969, and enjoyed a lifelong romance. The early years were not always easy, but the focus was on making lasting memories. Together they built a family legacy rooted in love and being there for their children, a legacy that continued after the loss of her husband.

She was a loving mother to four children: Sabrina King Combs of Whitesburg, Tennessee; Marion Mark King (Lisa) of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina; Michael Anthony "Tony" King of Chipley, Florida; and Kevin Wayne King (Lee-Amber) of Chipley, Florida. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Cliff Combs (Candice), Rachel Combs Moore (Travis), Charity Combs, Joseph King (Lauren), Caley King Baggett (Alan), Tyler King (Brandy), Lacey King, Braden King, Carter King, Kamryn King, Logan King, Mickayla Boname, Alex King Davis (Ethan), Eryn Boname and Cody Boname. She embraced with warmth and pride the role of great-grandmother to nineteen and aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Throughout her life, Pat found joy in being surrounded by her family whether it was at home or another venue like one of Tony’s baseball games, bowling with her sister Betty, travelling to visit family in Europe, countless weddings, graduations, and births as well as just spending time together when life allowed.  As a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt, she offered unwavering support and guidance across generations.

Pat demonstrated perseverance as a 40-year cancer survivor as well as the through the other twists and turns life had to offer.

In addition to her parents and husband, Pat was preceded in death by sisters Betty Wardrop and Doris Houska as well as her brother Jack Jackson and sister-in-law Ann Jackson; a son-in-law Ed Combs and a great-grandson Kaiden Boname.

A Celebration of Life will be held on July 19, 2025, at 02:00 PM at Brown Funeral Home in Chipley. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
