Jay Leland Law passed away on March 27, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, resilience and devotion to family.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Karen Law; his parents, J.L. Law and Vesta Audrey Goolsby; his sisters, Audrey Yelvington and Carol Strickland; as well as his brother, Carlie Law. 

Jay is survived by his sisters, Robbie Samples and Tracy Benidict; his daughters, Carrie Ann Wolk, Donna Wolk and Kat Winters-Wolk; his son, Thomas Miller; his grandchildren, Zackary Wolk, Almajean Wolk and Carlie Jai Wolk; as well as many nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Jay was a man who found joy in the simple, meaningful things in life.  He loved hunting and fishing and had a natural talent for tinkering – whether it was working on cars, building something with his hands or fixing whatever needed attention. In his younger days, he even enjoyed catching snakes, showing his fearless and adventurous spirit.

Above all, Jay’s greatest passion was his family. His love for his wife, children and grandchildren was the center of his world.  Though life did not always offer him an easy path, Jay faced challenges with determination and worked tirelessly to provide the best life he could for those he loved, remaining dedicated to them until the very end.  He will be remembered for his strength, his resourcefulness and the deep love he carried for his family.  His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Memorialization will be by cremation. Arrangements are entrusted to the Lambe Family at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.
