Ms. Eula Mae Segrest

Ms. Eula Mae Segrest, age 89, a lifelong resident of Jackson County, FL, went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 11, 2025. Eula Mae was a loving wife, mama, granny, and friend.  As the wife of a career Army veteran, she supported her husband

Ms. Eula Mae Segrest

and cared for her family through many deployments and moves throughout the United States.  She was NCO Wife of the Year in 1972.  She and her husband, George, were co-owners of Segrest Crafts & Florist in Grand Ridge, FL. In the final years of his

life, she lovingly cared for George through a debilitating illness. Just prior to his death in 2017, they celebrated 64 years of marriage. She trusted Christ as her Savior at a young age and through that she was active in her church and community, sharing

her love for Jesus through her actions and words. She cared for many family members and friends over the years, and was a gracious and generous hostess, always willing to lend a helping hand for those in need.   As a member of the American Legion

Auxiliary, she served as Auxiliary President for several years. Not only did she have a passion for veterans and their families, Eula Mae also conducted American flag education in local elementary schools and organized many community events. She

was preceded in death by her husband, George Allan Segrest, of Grand Ridge FL, and by her parents, John Jay and Pearl LeEsther Ferrell, five brothers, two sisters, one son, John Jefferson Segrest, and one grand-daughter-in-law, Jody Reed. Eula Mae is

survived by two daughters, Georgia Ann Hardee (David) of Snellville, GA and Janine Reed (Melvin) of Oxford, NC; four grandchildren, Christopher Hardee (Staci), Emily Moore (Austin), Shawn Reed, Joshua Reed (Whitney); eight great-grandchildren,

Grace Hardee, Bradford Hardee, Samuel Hardee, Lily Moore, Erin Reed, Lucy Mae Moore, Haisley Mae Reed, and Beau Reed. Eula Mae was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. A private graveside service was held on Saturday, October 25, 2025.

Serving as pallbearers were Christopher Hardee, Shawn Reed, Joshua Reed, Bradford Hardee, Samuel Hardee and Austin Moore.
