Mark Branch

Mark Branch, 60, of Shady Grove, Florida, passed away on May 23, 2026. Mark was born on October 27, 1965. He worked as a corrections officer and was known for his strength, resilience, and deep love for his family. Those who knew him will remember his sense of humor, the stories he shared, and the way he cared for the people he loved. He especially loved spending time fishing and tending to his garden, finding peace and joy in the simple things he loved most.

Mark, a loving and kindhearted man, was also a true warrior. A devastating accident nearly took his life nine years ago, but it was not yet his time. Instead, he battled and overcame practically insurmountable odds and continued to fight and cherish the extra years he was given with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 32 years, Rhonda Branch; his son, Lance Brock; his mother, Myra Stone Shiver; his father, Ethan Branch; and his stepmother, Rita Branch.

He is survived by his daughter, Diana Terry (David); his son, Ethan Branch (Jennifer); and his daughter, Sheyenne Branch. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Ava and Alexander Terry, Landon, Layla, and Ethan Branch, and Luna Harrell; his bonus father, Mark Shiver; his siblings, Lori Nelson, Bill Branch (Susan), John Mark Shiver (Gaylon), Douglas Wade Shiver (Emily), Christy Lynn Bloechl (Jeff), and Angie Shiver Smith; along with many extended family members and friends who loved him dearly.

Funeral service will be held on May 30, 2026, at the Shady Grove Methodist Church in Grand Ridge. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm CT with the service following at 2:00 pm CT. Interment will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery. Peavy Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mark will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
