Mary Lou (Parker)

Mary Lou (Parker) Faircloth of Bonifay, FL, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at her residence, surrounded by her beloved family. 

Mary Lou was born on July 25, 1937, to the late Talmadge and Essie (Smith) Parker. She married her late husband, Rev. Jack Faircloth, in 1954, and together they raised six children. She graduated as valedictorian of the Class of 1955, from Bethlehem High School. 

She worked for more than 30 years at the Holmes County Courthouse, serving in the Clerk’s Office for eight years and the remainder of her career with the County Commissioners and the Building Department. She faithfully served alongside her husband as a pastor’s wife throughout his ministry. She was a devoted member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church for 57 years. 

She was a beloved daughter, wife, mother and Granny to her family. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Jack Faircloth; her parents; and her sisters, Betty Sue Faircloth and Janette Helms. 

She is survived her six children: Mary Ann (Allen) Register, Chipley, FL, Jackie (Ellen) Faircloth, Bonifay, FL, Lynn (Henry) Carnley, KY, Cynthia (Michael) Kurtz, Bonifay, FL, Lloyd (Chris) Faircloth, TN, Robin (Ticia) Faircloth, Bonifay, FL, along with nineteen grandchildren, fifty great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. 

A Home-going service will be 2 p.m., Monday, April 27, 2026, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Jackie Faircloth, Jr., Bro. Henry Carnley, Bro. Eddie Biss officiating. Burial will follow in Dyson Cemetery, Bonifay, Florida with James & Lipford Funeral Home in Graceville directing.

The family will receive friends at the church Monday, 12:30 until time of the service. 

Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons.
