Nettie Addison

Nettie Addison was born on July 5, 1936, in Decatur County, Georgia, and passed away on May 26, 2026, in Tampa, Florida. Nettie grew up and graduated from Chattahoochee High School and was a member of Recovery Methodist Church in Recovery, Georgia.

Nettie is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Addison; her granddaughters, Chelsea Hudson and Crystal Hudson; her great-granddaughters, Kaylee, Kendall, and Chloe; and her sisters-in-laws, Betty Parrish and Gerry Adkison as well as nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Evans Addison; her daughter, Carolyn Hudson, her parents Frank and Amanda Adkison, and her brother Ben Adkison. Nettie treasured the bonds of family, and she found great joy in the lives of her granddaughters and great-granddaughters, whom she loved dearly.

In addition to her family, Nettie found companionship and happiness in her fur babies, Jinx and Tucker, who brought her comfort and delight. She loved them deeply and enjoyed the simple, faithful companionship they gave her.

A funeral service for Nettie is planned for Saturday, May 30, 2026 in the chapel of McAlpin Funeral Home beginning at 10:00 AM Eastern Time. Interment will be private. There will be a time of visitation with the family immediately following the funeral service.
