Samuel Chris Moore

Samuel Chris Moore, known to family and friends as Chris, passed away in Alford, Florida. He was born on July 9, 1969, in Ashland, Alabama, and lived a life marked by devotion to his family, hard work, and the simple joys in life.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Moore.

He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Marion Grace Moore; his mother, Evelyn Harper; his sons, Shawn Moore, Patrick Moore, Christopher Moore, and Bobby J. Moore; his daughter, Tiffany Moore; his brother, Bobby Lynn Moore; his sister, Becky Fuller; as well as numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. His family was the center of his world, and he took great pride in the people he loved.

Chris and his wife, Marion, moved to Florida in 2017 after previously living in Slocomb, Alabama. That move marked a new chapter in their lives, but his roots and the memories he made in Alabama remained an important part of who he was. Chris found peace and enjoyment in spending time fishing with his family. He also enjoyed working on vehicles in his free time, and he took pride in being able to fix, repair, and tinker on his vehicles.

Graveside funeral services will be 1 P.M., Monday, May 4, 2026 at Clay County Memory Gardens.

Funeral services are entrusted to the Lambe family at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.
