Samuel Earl Albritton

Samuel Earl Albritton, of Cottondale, FL, passed away on July 10, 2025, at Southeast Health Medical Center in Dothan, Alabama. Born on September 20, 1933, in Seminole County, Georgia, Samuel spent 91 years living a life marked by hard work, service, and strong family ties.

Samuel married his sweetheart, Kathy, in 1953 before joining the Air Force and serving his country with honor. After his discharge, he ventured into construction where his dedication to craftsmanship and integrity was evident. In 1964, Sam’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish Albritton Farming and Trucking, specializing in farming and the sale and transportation of mobile homes. Sam retired in 1996, leaving a legacy through the family business to his son, Scott. He also had a passion for farming, and continued this passion

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Kathy Albritton, with whom he shared years of unwavering companionship; his parents, Dee and Fanny Braswell Albritton; his caring brother, Dee Albritton and his sister, Alice Cook. Together, they await him in eternal glory.

Sam leaves behind a legacy of love and memories. He is survived by his devoted son, Jeffrey "Scott" Albritton and wife, Christie; his loving daughter, DeAnn Coy and husband, Tim; his dear sisters, Elma Nell Simmons and Fanny Amelia. His joy and wisdom will live on through his adoring grandchildren, Kayla, Lindsey, Corbin, Connor, and Madelynn Albritton, Sammy and Brandi Hall; and his cherished great-grandchildren, whose lives he touched with kindness and grandfatherly affection. Sam also cherished his friendship with his special friend, Jene Tremblay.

A Christian by faith, Sam walked the earth with the belief that "To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven" (Ecclesiastes 3:1). He lived according to these words, by embracing the seasons of his life.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. Monday, July 14, 2025 at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.

A graveside funeral service will follow at 2:30 P.M. at Pilgrim Rest Cemetery in Cottondale, FL with Pastor Vince Smith officiating.
