Doyle E. Stephens

Doyle E. Stephens, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2025, at the age of 96. Doyle was born January 23, 1929 in Grand Ridge, Florida to Riley and Ella Hamilton Stephens.

Doyle was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Miller Stephens, Ervin Stephens, Joe Stephens, Bill Stephens, Carlmore Stephens, Carl Stephens, Myrtle Gibson, Myrtice Howell, Lola Mercer, Mattie Lee Howell and Grace Stephens; along with his son-in-law, Howard G. Johnson.

He is survived by his precious wife of 72 years, Edna Wright Stephens; his daughters, Carolyn Johnson, Marilyn Stephens and Lanora Roberts; granddaughter, Taylor Roberts; sisters-in-law, Barbara Wright and Merle Stephens; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Doyle owned and operated Stephens’ Dairy after returning to Grand Ridge from serving in the United States Army. He also raised beef cattle, was an animal lover and never met a stranger.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Sunday, May 18, 2025 at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home with Reverend Carl Stephens and David Wright officiating. Burial will follow at Dykes Cemetery in Grand Ridge with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M., Saturday, May 17, 2025 at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.
