Tiny Tots Storytime for children three and under will be at 9:30 a.m. at the Jackson County Public Library in Marianna. There will be stories, music and dancing.

There will be a gospel sing at the Panhandle Pioneer Settlement in Blountstown at 2:00 p.m.

The First Ladies of Sneads will have a Pumpkins by the Lake Fall Festival from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Sneads Park at Lake Seminole. There will be a pet costume contest benefitting Partners for Pets, a scarecrow contest, a pumpkin decorating station and photo opportunities as well as food trucks and vendors.

The Alford Community Organization will have their 18th annual dinner and auction fundraiser, at 5:00 p.m. at the Alford Community Center on Park Avenue. The meal begins at 5:00 p.m. and it will be followed by the auction. Tickets for the event are $10.00 and are available at Alford City Hall and from ACO members. There will be a community workshop at the Sneads Log Cabin from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. to discuss plans for Jackson County Museum and Dozier Memorial Park. The cabin is located at 8025 Old Spanish Trail.

The Jackson County Master Gardener Volunteers will be having a fall and winter gardening workshop from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Jackson County Extension Office located at 2741 Penn Avenue in Marianna. Participants will learn about the vegetables that grow best during the Florida Panhandle’s cooler months. There will be educational handouts and seeds to take home as well as a hands-on demonstration of building a raised gardening bed at home. Admission is $10 per person and preregistration is required. The Jackson County portion of the Fall Farm Tour will have stops at: Cindale Farms from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. It is located at 3958 Old US Road in Marianna. Southern Craft Creamery from noon to 3:00 p.m. at 2886 Jefferson Street in Marianna. Moonpie Farm and Creamery from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at 1100 Walters Road in Cottondale

The Marianna City Farmers Market will have Pumpkins in the Park from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 2844 Madison Street in Marianna. There will be a pumpkin patch, kid’s games and a photo booth. There will fall basket giveaway and a scarecrow contest for vendors.

The Jackson County Public Library, UF/IFAS Jackson County Extension and the Jackson County Master Gardener Program will have a fall seed library kickoff from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Marianna Branch of the Jackson County Public Library. Library card holders will be able to check out up to 4 types of seeds and Master Gardener volunteers will be on hand to answer your questions. There will be three 15-minute talks on seed starting, seasonal gardening, and caring for your planted seeds as well as a fun activity for the children.

There will be a Garden to Table workshop on fall gardening from six p.m. to eight p.m. at the Ag Center at 2741 Penn Avenue in Marianna. It is the first of a three-part series that will also include fruit and herbs. The class will cost $15 per person but if you register for all three classes there will be a $10 discount. There will be a Business After Hours at 6:30 p.m. at the Historic National Bank at 2875 Caledonia Street in Marianna.

Second Harvest of the Big Bend will have a free nutrition and education class from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Marianna Branch of the Jackson County Public Library. There will be group discussions about nutrition for youth and adults, cooking demonstrations with taste test, a raffle and fresh produce.

Jackson County 4-H will have an open house cookout from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Penn Avenue Ag Center for students to learn about the group’s clubs.

The Panhandle Public Library Cooperative System will meet at 10:00 a.m. at the PPLCS office, located at 2862 Madison Street in Marianna.
