The Sneads Pirates football team made the trip across state lines to Donaldville, Georgia to take on the Seminole Indians Friday night. The experienced Indians proved to be a little too much for the Pirates who were coming off a rebuilding year with only one game this season under their belt. They handed the visiting Pirates a 37-10 loss.

Seminole scored early, going up 13-0 in the first quarter before piling on another 18 points in the second quarter to take a 31-0 lead into the locker room at the half.

The Pirates shut down the Indian offense in the third quarter and erased their goose egg. Pious Reed rushed for the Pirates only touchdown of the night. Robert Reglin converted for the two points and Sneads narrowed the lead to 31-8.

In the final quarter, Seminole County added another touchdown with Sneads countering with a safety. Kevionne Chambers recorded the safety to round out the Pirates’ scoring.

Jamarhi Scott was one-for-four through the air for five yards. On the ground, the Pirates were led by Pious Reed with 86 yards on eight carries and a touchdown. Janoah Williams had eight carries for 58 yards, while Jamarhi Scott carried the ball six times for 46 yards.

Omari Hill led defensively with seven total tackles, followed ever so closely by Kevionne Chambers and Traivon Danzy with six tackles each. Justin Street and Aidan Brown both recorded four tackles. Chambers was a beast with five sacks on the Indian quarterback.

Dylan Stalvey had two kickoffs for 40 yards. Tyran Thomas recorded 71 yards on three punts. Justin Street had two kick off returns for 48  yards, followed by Jarvis March with 29 yards on two returns. Robert Reglin returned two kickoffs for 26 yards.
