AA Baseball is in Full Swing in Jackson County

A busy day of Jackson County rec ball action featured offense all across the county as teams combined for big innings, extra-base hits and plenty of runs in a full slate of AA coach-pitch games Monday and Tuesday.
Twins 12, Malone Tigers 1
The Twins broke the game open with six runs in the third inning and four more in the fourth to pull away from the Malone Tigers at Optimist Park.
Dawson Waddell led the Twins at the plate, finishing 3-for-3 with three runs scored. Dean Burke also went 3-for-3 with two RBIs and three runs, while Nolen Register added three hits and two RBIs. Kyle Toole drove in three runs on two hits, and Mattox McDaniel chipped in two hits and an RBI.
For Malone, Rhett Grant collected two hits, while Boaz Coker added a pair of hits. Nolan Basford scored the Tigers’ lone run and Kaz Williams drove in a run. Chris Hollis also added a hit in the loss.
The Tigers finished with seven hits but struck out 15 times.
Mets 13, Optimist Park Braves 13
The Mets and Braves battled to a high-scoring tie in an offensive showcase at Optimist Park.
For the Mets, Grady Anderson had a huge night, going 3-for-4 with two home runs and five RBIs. Cayson Adams collected three hits and scored three runs, while Colt Davis added three hits and three RBIs. Karlos McDaniel tripled, drove in two runs and scored twice, and William Burke finished with three hits and two RBIs.
The Mets pounded out 20 hits in the draw.
The Braves answered with 21 hits of their own. Seth Schuler went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs scored. Owen Smith added three hits, two RBIs and three runs, while Jaxon Carr drove in four runs on two hits. Silas Schuler finished 3-for-3 with an RBI, and Kingston Rhynes added two hits and an RBI.
Jase Tyler collected two hits and scored twice, while Elijah Wiggins and Tyler Smith each added RBIs.
Cottondale Obert 8, Cottondale Charles 6
Cottondale Obert used a balanced offensive effort to hold off Cottondale Charles in Cottondale.
Abel Corbin led Team Obert by going 2-for-3 with two runs scored. Brantley Anderson finished 3-for-3 with an RBI, while Kayden Metzler had two hits including a pair of home runs and three RBIs. Jaxson Festa added two hits and an RBI, and Nolan Johnson tripled and drove in a run.
Weston Kernoschak doubled and drove in a run, while Waylon Ferree and Easton Obert also collected hits.
For Cottondale Charles, Coper Tharpe had two hits and scored once. Nolan Collier drove in three runs, while Korbyn Hewett added two hits and an RBI. Luke Brown and Ledger Deese each collected hits, and Asher French scored once.
Cottondale Charles finished with 12 hits in the loss.
Sneads Rookies 13, Sneads Braves 13
The Sneads Rookies and Sneads Braves played to a wild tie packed with offense at Sneads.
For the Braves, Caleb Dickson had multiple hits and scored several runs, while Declan Morgan added hits and RBIs throughout the game. Tyson Cooper and Gunnar Wall both reached base repeatedly and drove in runs, and Kaden Shiver collected hits and scored.
Jeremiah “JB” Clark, Hudson O’Neal and Gunner Scott also contributed offensively for the Braves.
The Rookies were led by Creed Varieur, Emmett Creel, Maverick Lanier and Kayson Garrett, who each collected multiple hits. Cohen Branch added key RBIs, while Joshua Mercer and Braxton Sheffield both scored runs and reached base several times.
Micah Callaway, Durham Senft and Jase Smith also contributed offensively during the back-and-forth contest.
Sneads Rookies vs. Sneads Indians

The Sneads Rookies received strong offensive performances from Creed Varieur, Emmett Creel, Maverick Lanier and Kayson Garrett, while Cohen Branch and Joshua Mercer added RBIs during the contest.
Micah Callaway, Braxton Sheffield and Durham Senft also scored runs for the Rookies.
Sneads Rookies vs. Altha
The Sneads Rookies continued their productive stretch offensively against Altha.
Emmett Creel and Maverick Lanier each delivered multiple hits, with Creed Varieur leading the way going 4-for-4. Kayson Garrett drove in runs during a key inning. Joshua Mercer and Jase Smith also added hits, and Cohen Branch scored multiple times.
Braxton Sheffield and Durham Senft reached base several times and helped spark the offense with aggressive baserunning.
