Governor candidate Paul Renner stops in Graceville
Republican gubernatorial candidate Paul Renner, having officially entered the race for governor, was in Graceville addressing a group of local citizens at a luncheon and spoke about his plans for the citizens of Florida as governor.
He related that he was concerned that after Governor DeSantis’s term ends there needs to be someone who is going to be able to fight under pressure and continue to deliver positive results for Florida. He said, “I believe I am the guy that will stand up and defend the Florida we love.
He said there will be challenges and pointed to his record on the tax cuts, school choice and insurance reform as proof that he can get things done. On a question regarding property tax relief, he promised he would make that a priority and believes he can work with the legislative branch to come up with a plan that can provide tax relief and one that Florida can afford.
When questioned about others in the race, he spoke well of the other candidates but he advised past results matters for future results and believes his leadership in getting results speaks for itself.
He believes that when Floridians learn about his record of accomplishments and plans to take on the challenges facing the state that he stands an excellent chance of convincing voters he is the right person to lead Floridians as their next governor.
