Man arrested on cocaine charge

The Jackson County Times received the following press release from the Marianna Police Department.
The Marianna Police Department has arrested Tayron Jennings, of Marianna, Florida, following a call for service from a local business.
Officers from the Marianna Police Department arrived at a local transportation agency where an employee located possible narcotics. The investigation revealed that Jennings was being transported to an appointment and had dropped a small plastic bag housing cocaine.
Officers made contact with Jennings at his residence where he was placed under arrest. Upon placing Jennings under arrest, he was found to be in possession of a large quantity of individually packaged cocaine bags, varying denominations of US currency, and a digital scale.
Jennings’ residence is designated as public housing through HUD.
Due to Tayron Jennins being found to be in possession of cocaine which was individually packaged, a scale with cocaine residue, currency consistent with those used in the sale and distribution of narcotics, and living and being located in a HUD residence, Jennings is being charged with Intent to Distribute Cocaine within 1000 Feet of a Housing Authority, a violation of F.S.S 893.13.1f1
