The Marianna Police Department has arrested Tayron Jennings, of Marianna, Florida, following a call for service from a local business.

Last year, the Florida Legislature set aside $250 million in the state budget to reimburse local law enforcement agencies for costs tied to immigration enforcement activities, including bonuses for officers participating in federal immigration partnerships.

The Marianna City Commission on Tuesday night took time to recognize one of its own, honoring a man widely regarded by colleagues as someone who never hesitates to step up, often before anyone even realizes help is needed.
